El Ballet Nacional de Cuba es la compa\u00f1\u00eda de ballet cubano m\u00e1s importante y es considerada una de las cinco mejores compa\u00f1\u00edas de ballet cl\u00e1sico del mundo, despu\u00e9s de la \u00d3pera de Par\u00eds, el Royal Ballet de Londres, el American Ballet Theatre y el Ballet Bolshoi. Esta compa\u00f1\u00eda est\u00e1 considerada como el punto culminante de la fuerte y consolidada Escuela Cubana de Ballet, fruto de la genuina uni\u00f3n de Fernando Alonso, Alicia Alonso como gran bailarina y Alberto Alonso, hermano del primero y quien fue el primer bailar\u00edn profesional en Cuba.<\/p>\n

La compa\u00f1\u00eda fue fundada el 28 de octubre de 1948 con el nombre de Ballet Alicia Alonso. En 1950 se fund\u00f3 la Academia Nacional de Ballet Alicia Alonso, la primera de su tipo en Cuba, donde se forjar\u00edan a partir de entonces las nuevas figuras del ballet cubano. La Academia complement\u00f3 el claustro de profesores cubanos con eminentes especialistas extranjeros que acud\u00edan a los cursos de verano que se organizaban anualmente.<\/p>\n

A partir de 1955 la compa\u00f1\u00eda cambia su nombre a Ballet de Cuba. Cuando se produjo el triunfo de la Revoluci\u00f3n en 1959, la compa\u00f1\u00eda se reorganiz\u00f3 tras un per\u00edodo de inactividad y asumi\u00f3 el nombre de Ballet Nacional de Cuba. El 11 de julio de 1961, la Escuela Nacional de Ballet Alicia Alonso dej\u00f3 de existir como empresa privada. En enero de 2020, tras la muerte de Alicia Alonso, Viengsay Vald\u00e9s, primera bailarina del Ballet Nacional de Cuba, asumi\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n la direcci\u00f3n general de la compa\u00f1\u00eda.<\/p>\n

El repertorio de la compa\u00f1\u00eda es amplio y cuenta con los mejores ballets y coreograf\u00edas del mundo. Entre los que m\u00e1s gustan est\u00e1n: Apolo, El lago de los Cisnes, Cenicienta, Cascanueces, Carmen, Coppelia y Giselle.
Mucho se ha hablado en lo referente a su relaci\u00f3n con escuelas Cubana de Ballet,en lo referente a su relaci\u00f3n con escuelas anteriores como la vieja escuela italiana, caracterizada entre otras cosas por el uso r\u00e1pido de los pies, la vieja escuela rusa, la escuela danesa, la escuela inglesa y la escuela sovi\u00e9tica pero siempre teniendo en cuenta los principios de selecci\u00f3n cuidadosos y evitando siempre el mimetismo. En una entrevista, Fernado Alonso expres\u00f3: \u201cIncorporamos al ballet la forma cubana de caminar, la sensualidad y el coqueteo de las mujeres, la virilidad y hasta el machismo de los hombres\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

En m\u00e1s de cincuenta a\u00f1os de pr\u00e1ctica continua, la Escuela de Ballet de Cuba ha sido reconocida internacionalmente y se ha consolidado como un importante referente. Su m\u00e9todo de ense\u00f1anza se ha aplicado en diferentes pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

Festival Internacional de Ballet de La Habana.<\/strong><\/p>\n

La direcci\u00f3n del Ballet Nacional de Cuba se propuso mostrar lo mejor de este arte de la danza a nivel internacional, con el objetivo de contribuir a su difusi\u00f3n, a partir de su trascendencia y valores dentro de la danza, mostrando el enriquecimiento y reafirmaci\u00f3n de la cultura danzaria del Caribe. Desde enero de 2016, el evento cont\u00f3 con el nombre de su presidenta e inspiradora principal: Alicia Alonso, en lo adelante denominado \u201cFestival Internacional de Ballet de La Habana Alicia Alonso\u201d.<\/p>\n

El 15 de marzo de 1960 fue la primera edici\u00f3n del Festival Internacional de Ballet de La Habana. La segunda edici\u00f3n se celebr\u00f3 seis a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, en 1966 y la tercera en 1967.<\/p>\n

La \u00faltima edici\u00f3n fue el 26 Festival Internacional de Ballet (2018), desarrollado con la participaci\u00f3n de bailarines de primer nivel, tanto nacionales como extranjeros. La danza moderna cubana naci\u00f3 en 1959, una nueva era que inici\u00f3 diversos procesos culturales en el pa\u00eds. Se reform\u00f3 el sistema educativo hasta el nivel universitario y se fundaron diversas instituciones, entre ellas el Ballet Nacional de Cuba y el Departamento de Danza Moderna del Teatro Nacional de Cuba. El danz\u00f3n surge a finales del siglo XIX. Su creaci\u00f3n musical se atribuye a Miguel Fa\u00edlde (1852-1921) de la provincia de Matanzas. El primer danz\u00f3n se llam\u00f3 \u201cLas Alturas de Simpson\u201d y fue lanzado el 1 de enero de 1879 en el liceo de la ciudad de Matanzas. <\/p>\n

La danza moderna cubana naci\u00f3 en 1959, una nueva era que inici\u00f3 diversos procesos culturales en el pa\u00eds. Se reform\u00f3 el sistema educativo hasta el nivel universitario y se fundaron diversas instituciones, entre ellas el Ballet Nacional de Cuba y el Departamento de Danza Moderna del Teatro Nacional de Cuba.
